Yordan Kyosev
Prof. Yordan Kyosev holds M.Sc. degrees in Textile Engineering (1996) and Applied Mathematics (2002), and a PhD in Textile Machines (2002) from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. After serving there as Assistant Professor (1996–2005), he was a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at RWTH Aachen (2005–2006) and later became Professor of Textile Materials and Technology at Niederrhein University, Germany. He developed the first industrial 3D visualization software for warp-knitted fabrics and founded TexMind (2011), specializing in textile modeling algorithms and CAD tools such as Braider and Warp Knitting Pattern Editor 3D. Author of numerous works on textile modeling, braiding, and knitting technologies, he is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Communications of Development and Assembling of Textile Products. His current research focuses on functional clothing, 4D body scanning, and automation in garment manufacturing.
