Gianaurelio Cuniberti
Professor Gianaurelio Cuniberti has held the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at TU Dresden and the Max Bergmann Center of Biomaterials since 2007. He earned his PhD in Physics in 1997 through a joint program between the Universities of Genoa and Hamburg. His research, internationally recognized in nanotechnology, materials science, and biomaterials, has resulted in over 400 publications. He previously led a Volkswagen Foundation Research Group at the University of Regensburg and has held affiliations with MIT, the Max Planck Institute, POSTECH, the University of Alabama, SJTU, and King’s College London. A member of the European Academy of Sciences, Academia Europaea, and acatech, he has received numerous distinctions, including the Max Planck Schloeßmann Award, the TU Dresden Ehrennadel, and the Special Medal for Natural Sciences from the Academia of the XL.
