Chokri Cherif
Professor Chokri Cherif is the Director of the Institute of Textile Machinery and High-Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden, Germany. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business & Economics, and earned his PhD in Textile Technology in 1998. After industrial experience at Rieter Ingolstadt and academic roles at RWTH Aachen, he became Professor of Textile Technology at TU Dresden in 2005. Under his leadership, ITM has received over 130 scientific awards. He has served as President of AUTEX (2010–2013) and received prestigious recognitions, including the German Future Prize (2016) and the Energy Globe World Award (2018). Author of numerous patents, he is also CEO of TUDATEX GmbH and collaborates extensively with industry across multiple sectors.
